Mercier’s playful illustration for “Frère Jacques,” with a young bell-ringer suspended from a bell rope beneath an enormous bell, accompanied by a pink bird and a distant village landscape.

The reverse carries the song’s printed music and French lyrics, complemented by a decorative bell motif. Its musical arrangement is credited to Charles Dumont.
