Antique 19th Century Minton Chinese Marine Opaque Blue and White Chinoiserie Platter, XLARGE

Fantastic XLARGE 19th century Minton Chinoiserie blue and white transferware platter with a lovely pastoral scene scene with pagodas, boats, and lush botanicals. Beautifully bordered. It's marked, Chine Marine M Opaque China. C.1830

I acquired this piece at an old Texas estate where everything was perfect…like it was the perfect piece to be in that spot. They had obviously collected very specific antiques and had beautiful taste…From the art, to the flatware, no detail was missed. It wasn't stuffy… it was approachable and inviting and truly amazing!! 

Sourcing the South is my favorite thing to do... finding pieces that have been cherished for years and hopefully will be cherished for years to come. Many are steeped in history and tradition and some are just pretty but all are thoughtfully curated so that I can bring you the very best of what I find💙

It measures approximately 18.5” long x 14.75” wide. It's in lovely estate condition with some wear consistent with age and use including some discoloration and blips in the original finish. Please see all the pics as they are considered part of the description.
