19th Century Ormolu Cascading Acanthus And Floral Candelabras
19th Century Ormolu Cascading Acanthus And Floral Candelabras
I have never seen anything quite like these 19th-century English candelabras. Artistically crafted Ormolu cascading acanthus works into beautifully sculpted arms and a centerpiece into blossoming floral cups. Spectacular doesn't even begin to describe them.
Each holds five lights, measures 19” tall x 13.5” at the widest point x 11” deep, and weighs over 8 lbs.
I acquired them at that posh Westlake, Texas estate of an Austin real estate developer and his love wife who owned fabric stores. It was the one with the hand painted sinks and HUGE bow sconces… did you see them in my stories?? It was BEYOND AMAZING... Classic with a touch of whimsy. It was definitely a fave!
Pieces like this are why I love sourcing the South and the great state of Texas for vintage and antique estate decor. You never know what you'll find.
I can't find any others exactly like this, but comps on similar pieces are running over $1200 and way beyond.
$897 for the pair INCLUDES INSURED SHIPPING in the continental US.
🩷Vintage and antique items have some wear associated with years of age and use, which only adds to their overall charm. Please see all the pictures, as they are considered part of the description.
