Colorful French Riviera Painting, Acrylic on Canvas, Ornately Carved Wood Frame

Estate art is one of my favorite things!

This glorious vintage painting takes you straight to lazy afternoons on the French Riviera. Surrounded by colorful villas, you  can almost smell the salty sea air and hear the whipping of the sails on the boats as the wind guides them. 

The colors of this original piece are light and airy, just as I imagine an afternoon on the Mediterranean Sea would be. 

It's textured acrylic on canvas and truly a sublime piece. Artist signed in the lower right corner. It’s enveloped in an ornately carved solid wood frame that's almost as fantastic as the painting itself. 

I acquired it from a posh estate in the Castle Hills area of San Antonio… the same as the two Chinese Chippendale pagoda mirrors. To say this place was pretty swank is a huge understatement🩷 It was a glorious mix of chinoiserie and French pieces…a true dream estate to source.

Sourcing the South and the great state of Texas for vintage and antique estate decor is my favorite thing to do...shopping estate sales, auctions, and charity thrift stores to carefully curate a collection of fantastic finds that have and will stand the test of time.

 It measures 29” wide x 26.25” tall and has a nice weight to it.
