Vintage Swan Painting by Courtland Butler, artist Signed, Estate Art

Fantastic painting of two swans floating on a rippling waterway by Courtland Butler (1871-1952 and dated ‘27. Done in lovely pastels of pink, lavender, blue, green, yellow, and white. It would be make a charming addition to any decor, but especially in a nursery or child’s room. 

Considering, it's over 90 years old it's in pretty great  condition. There is some visible aging but nothing inconsistent with its age. 

I acquired this piece at an old Texas estate where everything was perfect…like it was the perfect piece to be in that spot. They had obviously collected very specific antiques and had beautiful taste…From the art, to the flatware, no detail was missed. It wasn't stuffy… it was approachable and inviting and truly amazing!! 

Sourcing the South is my favorite thing to do... finding pieces that have been cherished for years and hopefully will be cherished for years to come. It measures 20.25” wide x 19.25” tall x 1” deep from the outside corners of the frame. The painting showing measures 15” tall x 16” wide.
