This is one of the pieces that will LITERALLY stop you in your tracks… just like it did me. Made gy Hunt Furniture Co. in 1928, it’s construction is sturdy and beautifully detailed the style of Louis XV Rococo. 

The needlepoint features a lovely French mademoiselle in a garden with a large, bountiful bouquet tied with a bow on the seat. To say it’s FABULOUS is an understatement. 

  It was acquired from the same grand estate as the Ormolu fireplace pieces. This sweet lady  ‘downsized’ to a 6000 sq ft home in the Austin area from her River Oaks home in Houston. This place was MAGNIFICENT!  

It measures 36” tall x 24” at the widest point and is in amazing condition, especially for being almost 100 years old.
