Antique French Ormolu Bronze Mantel Clock with Hand Painted Porcelain Adornment

Antique French Ormolu Mantle Clock. Beautifully ornate details grace this stunning piece top to bottom including the hand painted porcelain insert. The colors, the urn of flowers, the Rococo elements… every single thing is visually perfection. 

I acquired it from a LAVISH estate in the Tarrytown neighborhood of Austin. It was truly unbelievable… I was like a kid in a candy store. Most of the pieces I kept for my personal collection, but a few did make it to the shop, lol. 

The clock did not come with a key so is not wound. The face and all mechanisms seem to be complete but I can not say whether or not it works.

As is, it's fantastic and makes lovely decor but nonetheless the price does reflect. 

It's heavy and obviously well made.  It measures 14" tall x 8" wide x 5.5" deep and weighs over 7 pounds.

Pieces like this are why I love sourcing the South and the great state of Texas for vintage and antique estate decor…shopping estate sales, auctions, charity thrift stores, and antique malls to carefully curate a collection of fantastic finds that have and will stand the test of time.
