Antique Meissen Potpourri Urn with Cherubs | Bird Scene Porcelain | Floral Encrusted | 11.5”

This is the kind of Meissen that collectors dream of finding… the colors, the cherubs, the applied flowers… the craftsmanship is beyond amazing.

A beautiful Meissen potpourri urn, richly decorated with a hand-painted bird scene- very Rothschild Bird-  on the front, surrounded by soft landscape detailing and finished with an abundance of hand-applied porcelain florals. The pierced lid is crowned with a sculptural bouquet of blooms, while the pedestal base is adorned with the most charming detail of all: two figural cherubs—adding that unmistakable Old World romance Meissen is famous for. Authentic Meissen crossed blue swords hallmark on the reverse. The lid is removable.

Elegant, rare, and undeniably collectible, this is a true heirloom piece for lovers of European porcelain and grandmillennial interiors.
