 They were acquired at the lovely Austin estate ( the same as the fantastic ballerina painting)  of  a design enthusiast who graduated  from Parsons School of Design in New York and the Université of Jean Moulin in Lyon, France. He later had a successful career at the University of Texas as the assistant to the Dean of The College of Fine Arts and was curator of the Historical Textiles and Apparel Collection. It was full of European treasures brought back from his time abroad.  It was a maximalist’s dream. He was also a well known performer around Austin revered for his singing, dancing, acting, and musically as a gifted pianist.
