These vintage Cordey China statuettes are as magnificent as the infamous Marie Antoinette and King Lous XVI they’re inspired by.

With the whimsical elegance and fantasy of 18th-century French aristocratic style, their elaborate powdered coiffures, cascading ruffles, and graceful Rococo attire embodies the dramatic fashion and opulence associated with the era of Marie Antoinette and the court of Louis XVI.

Showcasing the wonderfully playful charm that made Cordey so beloved, these statuetted show the delicately hand-painted details, soft nuances, flowing drapery, and sculpted lace-like textures giving that romantic, theatrical quality reminiscent of Versailles salon décor… No two are exactly the same. 

 About Cordey Porcelain

Cordey porcelain was produced beginning in 1942 in Trenton, New Jersey, founded by designer Harry Bruckmann, who had previously worked within the Dresden porcelain tradition in Germany.

Cordey pieces were created using European-inspired molds and were known for their dramatic Rococo styling, lavish decoration, and romantic historical themes.

Estate Provenance

They are part of an extensive collection sourced from the same Texas estate, where they were displayed throughout as a charming tableau of aristocratic characters.

Pieces like this are why I love sourcing the South and the great state of Texas for vintage and antique estate decor…shopping estate sales, auctions, charity thrift stores, and antique malls to carefully curate a collection of fantastic finds that have and will stand the test of time.

Each measures approximately 11” tall x 5” wide and is in lovely estate condition.
