Papillon Painting, Oil Painting, Maureen Tarazon Custom Estate Art

I love dog paintings and this one is so good! This Papillon pup is absolutely precious… there's a note on the back on the canvas behind the paper that says: Caesar III Original oil portrait by Maureen Tarazon 2000.   

Maureen Tarazon was born in 1934 in London.  She studied at the the London Polytechnic now known as London Metropolitan University. She married Louis Templeton in 1954 and together they had three children.

Since 1970, she has lived in San Antonio, Texas and traveled extensively around the world. Her travels greatly  influenced her work and even allowed her to paint in Monet’s garden at Giverny, France. Her works have been sold in galleries throughout the country. 

 I acquired this piece at a posh San Antonio estate where everything was beautifully curated… the same as the XLarge antique cherub candelabras. 

Pieces like this are why I love sourcing the South and the great state of Texas for vintage and antique estate decor.
