Late 19th century French gilt spelter figural mantel clock, attributed to Phillipe H. Mourey (1840-1920). Circular dial with twin winding and inscribed with Roman numerals…i love EVERYTHING about it… The original key was not included... We wound it with a universal key and it worked including the chime.
I acquired it at lovely aCentral Texas estate- the same as the all four of the French Spelter gilt cherub lamps. ..It’s funny because it reminds me a lot of the large European tapestry I recently listed but acquired at another Central Texas estate.
It measures 11.5” tall x 12” wide x 4.5” deep
