Grand in scale and gloriously theatrical, this vintage Classical Revival table lamp features a beautifully modeled female caryatid standing with her arms raised overhead. Her expressive face, elaborate hair and dramatically draped gown are rendered in heavy cast metal with a deep, timeworn bronze-tone finish. 

The figure rests upon a pale stone plinth—believed to be alabaster—above an exceptionally decorative cast-metal base encircled with classical floral and palmette motifs. Every element gives this lamp the presence of something found in a well-traveled, wonderfully layered European interior. Estate sourced. 

Measuring an impressive 34½ inches tall, this is far more than functional lighting—it is a substantial sculptural statement around which an entire room can be built. Place it on an entry console, library table, oversized sideboard or bedside chest for instant old-world grandeur.

The design draws upon classical Greek and Roman forms, interpreted through the opulent revival styles of the 20th century. The female figure is believed to be cast spelter or a similar metal alloy with an aged bronze-tone finish; it is not represented as solid bronze.

The wonderfully romantic fringed fabric shade shown is included. A threaded post is present for a finial; however, the finial itself is not included, allowing its next owner to select one that complements their own style.
