Vintage Herend Chinese Bouquet Lidded Bean Pot
Vintage Herend Chinese Bouquet Lidded Bean Pot
Vintage Chinese Bouquet Lidded Bean Pot with Rose Finial and 24kt gold accents.
Chinese Bouquet is one of the loveliest and most sought after of all the Herend patterns. Initially created in 1930 for Count Albert Apponyi and apply named "Apponyi Flowers", it is a glorious pattern inspired by the grandeur of the Orient.
All of the Herend Rothschild Bird, the Chinese Bouquet Bean Pot, and the large Herend Fishnet Pheasant are from the same Austin estate. The Lady of the house lived to be 91 and was quite a colorful character by all accounts, she was still snow skiing at 78. She was born in Munich, educated in England, and lived in the US most of her adult life. She enjoyed her pieces and truly was a collector’s collector.
It measures 6” tall x 8” wide and is in lovely estate condition.
