Vintage Horse Bookends, Hand Painted, Mare and Foal

Lovely vintage pair of white ceramic mare and foal bust bookends. They are so beautifully detailed and the size is impressive… they actually could be used as stand alone sculptures. That's the great thing about investing in quality pieces… they often can be used year round by styling and using them in various ways.

This set was acquired at a private shop I was able to attend at the estate of the family who owned a well known Arabian horse farm in the Central Texas area. 

Pieces like this are why I love sourcing the South and the great state of Texas for vintage and antique estate decor. Each measures approximately 6.5” tall x 6.25” wide and are in lovely estate condition.
