Art Nouveau Brass English Hunt Fireplace Tool Set, c. Early 20th Century

Fantastic Art Nouveau English Hunt Scene Brass Fireplace Tool Set.

The intricate relief detail of this amazing set features a hound at the front of the base surrounded by winding acanthus, a hunting rifle and various game including a rabbit and pheasants with a horn wrapped in the tree branches. 

The set of three ornately engraved tools include a poker, scoop and pincher. The solid brass has retained its brilliance and is in good condition with patina in some areas from years of use.

I acquired it at a posh Austin estate... The same as the large Italian tapestry.

The stand measures 12" x 12" x 21.5". The shovel is 25.5" tall, the tongs are 25" tall and the poker is 23" tall. 

Pieces like this are why I love sourcing the South and the great state of Texas for vintage and antique estate decor. You never know what you'll find.
