When someone thinks of the Texas Hill Country, to me this is what they imagine. A beautiful scene of Bluebonnets in a field with an old windmill on a dirt road set against a backdrop of rolling hills. My Texas 💙loves everything about it.

This glorious oil painting is signed by listed Texas artist, Ronnie Holze. 

Mr. Holze is a self taught artist from Central Texas. His earlliest works as a painter where bluebonnet graced landscapes. 

In 1994, Ronnie and his wife moved to Crested Butte, CO where he began painting the Rocky Mountains and various wildlife becoming especially well known for his depiction of trout in their natural environment. His paintings have been chosen to be the cover picture on twenty-four different fly fishing guidbooks and maps.

The artist has since returned to his beloved Central Texas and owns a gallery where he proudly displays his paintings as well as those of other local artists. 

I acquired this piece from a lovely Texas estate.
