Antique salt glazed blue pottery urn with hand painted French courting scene and gilt detail.  It’s double handled, has the original lid and corking and is numbered  on the reverse.

I acquired it at the familial Castle Hills estate of a former San Antonio mayor and judge considered one of the city's founders. His daughter, who spent countless hours serving on various charity boards, was also an active and prominent member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas (DRT).

This estate had so many lovely pieces, like the large 19th-century tapestry and Sitzendorf figural candlesticks. I was thrilled to have sourced some of the most fantastic things.

Pieces like this are why I love sourcing the South and the great state of Texas for vintage and antique estate decor. You never know what you'll find...shopping estate sales, auctions, and charity thrift stores to carefully curate a collection of fantastic finds that have and will stand the test of time.

It measures 9” tall x 4” at the widest point.

$97 INCLUDES INSURED SHIPPING in the continental US.
