Glorious vintage Palissy Style Majolica Lobster Plate. Vibrant shades of deep red, green and Sandy Brown accentuate the fantastic textured detail of the large crustatian, shells, and mussels with the spaghetti seaweed and pebbled sand.

The craftsmanship of this piece is superb and shows it to be Italian or Portuguese.

I can not adequately express how excited I was to find this piece…I don't find them often( this is only the 2nd saleable one) and when I do, they usually aren't in very good condition. This one is in excellent condition. It has been hanging on the wall for years and was well protected. I’ve left on the original plate hanger, but it can easily be removed. 

Sourcing the South is my favorite thing to do... finding vintage and antique pieces that have been cherished for years and hopefully will be cherished for years to come.
