Malachite is having a moment and I'm here for it! Do you remember the video I posted from that totally beyond auction here in Austin? There were similar pieces and the bidding was CRAZY! 

This is such a fantastic pair of faux malachite and brass finished obelisks. I acquired them at a posh Barton Creek estate where they were displayed on the mantle of the fireplace in the master bedroom. Y’all know me, I was first in the door and beelined straight to them. They were even better than I expected…true statement pieces. Circa 1980s. 

They're substantial measuring 21” tall  x 6” wide x 6” deep at base and are HEAVY. 

They do have some pitting on the brass but nothing that distracts from their display-ability but nonetheless the price does reflect.

Pieces like this are why I love sourcing the South and the great state of Texas for vintage and antique estate decor…shopping estate sales, auctions, charity thrift stores, and antique malls to carefully curate a collection of fantastic finds that have and will stand the test of time.
