This monumental Rococo Revival banquet scene, painted after Vicente García (1845–1903), captures an aristocratic gathering in full indulgence — silk gowns draped in candlelight, powdered wigs leaning in conversation, attentive servants presenting trays beneath a glittering chandelier.

The romanticized 18th-century subject matter reflects the refined historicism popular among late 19th and early 20th century Spanish and Continental painters. Warm tonal layering and atmospheric depth give the scene movement and intimacy while maintaining decorative grandeur.

The painting is housed in a richly carved Rococo-style giltwood frame adorned with scrolling acanthus, floral flourishes, and deeply molded detailing. The frame alone commands attention, amplifying the drama of the composition.
