Antique Marx + Gutherz Asparagus Plates, Hand Painted Porcelain, Austria

Pair of antique Marx & Gutherz Asparagus Plates. The hand painted details are fantastic, the colors vibrant, and the porcelain with gilt accents is near pristine.

They are marked Marx & Guterz Carlsbad in a double circle.  This hallmark was used from 1876-1889.

Each measures approximately 9.5" long x 5" wide x 1" tall from the table.  They are in excellent estate condition for their age with only light wear. 

I acquired them from a lakefront estate in Mississippi. This place was packed with some of the most AMAZING treasures. I love shopping the old south…I am never disappointed.  
Fun fact: it was just down the road from Jerry Lee Lewis’ ranch. How fantastic is that?!
