Antique Chinoiserie Circassia Plates by John Alcock, Blue and White Antique Plates, Set of Two

These Circassia plates are over 150 years old and ready for a new home. They were made by John Alcock in Cobridge, England from 1853-1861. They are the prettiest shade of blue and have this FANTASTIC chinoiserie scene of Chinese pagodas in a lush landscape of willows. They are bordered in florals.

These plates are such great quality...they're thick and have a nice weight. Each is marked with the Alcock Hallmark and is stamped. They have some discoloration, mainly on the back, but that isn't uncommon for their age.

These plates are from an incredible Austin estate. I think I blacked out temporarily when I walked into a room that was filled with the most exquisite antique English dishes I have ever seen in one place, EVER (This is where I also found the antique Ridgways pieces I have listed). 

Each measures 8.5" in diameter.
