Antique Murano Ruby Red Double-Handled Vase with Hand-Painted Lady & Maritime Scene

A petite jewel of Venetian craftsmanship, this antique Murano glass vase radiates romance and artistry. Hand-blown in a rich ruby red, its graceful silhouette is flanked by delicate clear glass handles, each applied with the precision that has made Murano glassmaking world-renowned.

The front features a finely detailed hand-painted portrait of a lady in elegant 18th-century dress, framed in scrolling raised gilding and soft enamel garlands. Behind her, the suggestion of a ship and seafaring elements adds a touch of wanderlust — a nod to Venice’s maritime heritage and the eternal pull of the horizon.

Bands of gilded and enameled scrollwork encircle the body, their flourish echoing the opulence of Venetian palaces. The clear pedestal foot catches and reflects light, adding a subtle sparkle to the vase’s rich crimson glow.

Perfect as a standalone display piece or paired with its taller, single-handled counterpart, this vase is a celebration of Murano’s mastery and a romantic reminder that even the smallest treasures can tell the grandest stories.
