Vintage Staffordshire Little Red Riding Hood and Wolf Lamp

This fantastic Staffordshire figure depicting Little Red Riding Hood with the Wolf has been beautifully hand painted evoking the charm of this beloved nursery rhyme character. It’s been mounted as a lamp on a wood base with matching finial, a great English Cottage look. 

The porcelain is in nice vintage condition with typical irregularities and craquelure to the glaze, including small firing home in back, ca. early to mid 20th century

Would be perfect in a nursery but honestly I love it so much I think it would be perfect anywhere. 

Staffordshire figures were popular pottery figurines made in England from the 18th century onward. Many Staffordshire figures were made from 1740 to 1900. 

I acquired it from a FAB estate auction… it was so massive they’re having to do it in like 4 or 5 lots. I can’t wait for the second one.
