Reverse Silhouettes, Pair

I LOVE reverse silhouettes so when I happened upon this pair I was over the moon. They are truly delightful…the courting scenes are painted on the inside of the convex glass with a colorful print or lithograph European countryside background. C. 1930s.

I acquired them from a lovely Texas estate - the same as the Victorian vases and the fantastic statuette.

Pieces like this are why I love sourcing the South and the great state of Texas for vintage and antique estate decor. You never know what you'll find...shopping estate sales, auctions, and charity thrift stores to carefully curate a collection of fantastic finds that have and will stand the test of time.

They measures 7.75” tall x 6.75” wide at the handles  and is in lovely estate condition.
