Antique European Aubusson Style Jacquard on Greek Key Rod with Tole Flower Brackets,

Enchanting antique European tapestry circa late 19th to early 20th century, woven on Jacquard looms gives us a glimpse into  a charming countryside scene artfully depicted from a blend of wool and cotton, it features an afternoon hunt with hunters on horses with hounds, a stag, and the beautiful European countryside including a distant castle as the pastel backdrop. It’s almost like a fairy tale… I want a white horse just like that, lol.

It’s hanging from a bronze colored metal rod with Greek Key relief that’s held by floral tole brackets. 

The back is lined and there is some discoloration and wear where the brass bar held  at the bottom but isn't noticeable from the front. I think it could also be used without the brass bar if wanted. 

I acquired it at a posh Central Texas estate - the same as the Romeo and Juliet and the Faust et Marguerite lamps, the carved Empire Napoleon III mirror. It was divine!

It measures 54.5” long from the top of the rod x 36”w - just the tapestry x 55” w from tip to tip of the rod. It’s in really lovely condition but has wear consistent with age as mentioned above.
