Tobacco Leaf Pigs Lidded Dish, Vintage, Fantastic Detail

This is a first for me! I’m ALWAYS on the lookout for Tobacco Leaf so when I found this pig I was like, what am I seeing?? 

Turns out, the baby is removable making this a lidded dish that’s as functional as it is fabulous. It’s hand painted in a favorite Tobacco Leaf pattern made by You Xian Ju Juan Zhi as is shown by the hallmark on the bottom. The detail is exceptional… even on that little baby!

I acquired this piece from an estate in a lake and golf community outside of Austin. 

It measures 11” long x 6.75” tall x 5.5” wide and is in lovely vintage condition.
