This extraordinary Victorian grapevine centerpiece or epergne is a true conversation piece—rich with layered ornamentation, dimensional grape clusters, scrolling vine work, mirrored medallions, and an elegant bird figure resting beneath a laurel wreath crest.

The entire piece embodies the lavish decorative spirit of the late Victorian era, when dining tables and parlors were designed to impress from every angle. With its sculptural metal framework and mirrored accents, it feels wonderfully theatrical and almost conservatory-inspired.

Originally, the center likely held a decorative bowl or vessel for flowers, fruit, or confectionery display. The pink hobnail glass bowl currently fitted within the stand appears to be a later replacement, possibly Fenton, and adds an unexpected softness and charm to the more dramatic gilt metal structure.

Condition:
