Vintage Blue & White Restaurant Plates, Blue and White Divided Grill Plates, Set of Two, Made in Japan

I’m always thrilled to find vintage restaurant grill plates. This is one that I haven’t found before. It reminds me of the the Spode Blue Italian with the European countryside motif. 
They’re marked ‘Made in Japan’ with a crown and acanthus hallmark. I was told this dates the plates to the 1950s. 

Each measures approximately 11” in diameter and are in lovely estate condition making them perfect for use or display. There is a touch of flow to the finish but nothing inconsistent with age and use.
