I discovered this beautiful vintage ceramic swan planter while sourcing a grand estate in Memphis. She had graceful lines, wonderful scale, and undeniable charm—but I knew she had the potential to become something extraordinary.

Inspired by the weathered terracotta garden ornaments found throughout the historic estates, conservatories, and orangeries of England, France, and Italy, I carefully hand-finished this vintage ceramic planter in a custom aged terracotta patina. Layer by layer, rich earth tones, subtle mineral highlights, and softly weathered details were built to create the character and depth of antique European garden pottery.

The result is a one-of-a-kind statement piece that looks as though it has been quietly tucked among ivy and climbing roses for generations.

Measuring an impressive 16 inches tall by 19 inches long, this swan is perfect planted with cascading ivy, orchids, preserved moss, seasonal flowers, or displayed as sculptural décor all on its own.

Whether placed in a sunroom, garden room, covered porch, entryway, or layered into a collected interior, she brings warmth, old-world character, and timeless European charm wherever she lands.
